Vantage6 was used to study differences in survival for patients with oral cavity cancer in Taiwan and the Netherlands. As laws and regulations prevented us to combine data from these two geographies, the study was conducted using vantage6 and federated learning algorithms. Vantage6 enabled us to keep the data locally in Taiwan and the Netherlands, while all analyses could be conducted as-if all data were in one place. By studying and comparing differences, we can improve the care and outcome for cancer patients.
